After you've purchased WebPainter you should register it by visiting our Web site at: http://www.totallyhip.com/forms/wpregform.html 3) Giving WebPainter more memory WebPainter 3 has a default memory allocation of 7.5 Megabytes. Though the default memory allocation is usually enough, WebPainter can sometimes benefit from having extra memory available. This is especially true if you are opening more than one file at a time, or if you are creating large documents or more than document at a time. To reset the preferred size, select the WebPainter 3 application in the Finder and choose "Get Info" under the "File" menu. Type a larger number in the Preferred Size field. 4) Getting Help If you need technical support or have any questions in regards to WebPainter 3, use one of the following methods: • Read the electronic or printed Manual. • Search the Totally Hip technical support section of our Web Site at: http://www.totallyhip.com/support/ • Send email to: support@totallyhip.com • Call Totally Hip Technical Support at (604) 685-0984 (We are open 9AM to 5PM Pacific time, Monday-Friday) - you must be a registered user to access our technical support line - you will need to have your serial number to access this service 5) System Requirements: • Power Macintosh • Mac OS version 7.1 or later • QuickTime 3 or QuickTime 3 Pro (you can download QuickTime 3 from Apple's Web site at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/index.html) • 8MB of application RAM • 15MB of Hard Disk for minimum installation • Color Monitor • CD-ROM drive • Mouse or Wacom compatible Pen or digitizing tablet 6) Tips & Last Minute Notes Memory Management WebPainter is a memory-based program rather than a cache-based program. This means that the entire file is loaded into memory, rather than just the parts you're currently working on. Therefore, you should check the memory size allocated to WebPainter before opening large files. QuickTime 3 There are some problems using QuickTime 3 with some options in WebPainter's vector mode. The problems should be corrected when the next version of QuickTime is released. However, in the meantime, you may encounter a message telling you to upgrade your version of QuickTime. This message will appear the first 5 times you launch WebPainter, and every 10th time after that. When you attempt to change some vector settings that are not supported by the version of QuickTime you are using, you may hear a beep and you will be unable to change the settings. Also, some vectors may cause problems, for example, polygons with many curves and the star polygon. The affected vector settings are: -Closed and Open Frame fill settings -Circle gradients -Gradient objects located near the edge of the drawing You may want to check our website on a regular basis to see if there are new versions of WebPainter or free updates.
